Established in 1999 by brothers Brian and Kevyn Joy in Victoria’s Pyrenees, Pyren Vineyard is owned by Middle Creek Vineyard Pty Ltd. Winemaking is led by Leighton Joy, with Graeme Miles overseeing the vineyards. The estate farms uncertified organically, using compost and under-vine mulch while avoiding synthetic fertilizers and herbicides. Water comes from the estate’s own catchment, with a focus on soil health and biodiversity. Wines are estate-made from low-yielding vines and fruit selected from isolated sites known for consistently producing high-calibre grapes.
