Luca Faccinelli is a privately owned estate in Chiuro, Valtellina, Lombardy, led by winemaker Luca Faccinelli. Working in the heart of Valtellina Superiore Grumello, Inferno and Sassella, the winery farms steep terraced vineyards between 400 and 650 metres at the foot of the Alps, with all vineyard work and harvesting done by hand. Old stone-wall terraces and Nebbiolo vines, including vines over 80 years old, are central to the estate’s identity. The focus is on red wines, especially Rosso di Valtellina DOC and Valtellina Superiore DOCG Grumello. The historic cellar in medieval Chiuro is complemented by a newer winery in Tresivio integrated into the surrounding agricultural landscape.
