Doga delle Clavule

Italy

Doga delle Clavule is located in Magliano in Toscana, at the heart of the Morellino di Scansano DOCG zone. Its vineyards lie on predominantly sedimentary soils, including loose soils formed from Pliocene marine sediments. Protected from cold northerly winds and moderated by sea breezes, the site benefits from a climate that helps minimize disease risk. The estate produces Morellino, Bianco Toscana IGT, and Rosso Toscana IGT. Its setting includes an ancient stone building and farm annexes, with views extending toward the Uccellina and Albegna parks and the Argentario coast. The surrounding area has a long viticultural history, with Etruscan and Roman archaeological evidence including wine-storage jars and depictions of harvesters.
