Meroni is a family-run winery founded in 1935 in Sant’Ambrogio, at the heart of Valpolicella Classica. Its vineyards include the Sengia and Maso estates, with native varieties such as Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara. The family practices sustainable viticulture, including a Sengia parcel farmed without chemical fertilizers or pesticides, and focuses on expressing the terroir with elegance and balance. Traditional Valpolicella methods include appassimento for Amarone and Recioto and ripasso, with indigenous yeasts used for fermentation. The wines are presented in the Sengia and Il Velluto lines, the latter dedicated to Veronese dialect poet Berto Barbarani.
