Citari is a family-owned winery in Lombardy’s Lugana and Riviera del Garda regions, founded in 1975 by Francesco Gettuli and now run by the third generation, Francesco Mascini and Maria Giovanna. Its vineyards lie on the morainic hills near Lake Garda and include Lugana DOC, Riviera del Garda Classico DOC, San Martino della Battaglia DOC, and Benaco Bresciano IGT. The estate farms distinct sites for Turbiana, Tuchì, Pinot Nero and red varieties, with careful attention to soil, exposure, vine development and harvest timing. Citari’s wines aim to express the authentic character of the territory, combining traditional sensory evaluation with scientific analysis. The winery is VIVA-certified for sustainability across vineyard, cellar and packaging, and offers visits, tastings and vineyard walks by appointment.
