Castel Firmian

Italy

Castel Firmian is the mountain wine range of Mezzacorona, a family-run cooperative founded in 1904 and owned by around 1,500 wine-growing families in Trentino-Alto Adige. Its vineyards include small plots and traditional pergola vines, with respectful farming, precision viticulture and hand-harvesting central to the approach. The cooperative also uses lighter glass bottles to reduce waste, reflecting a clear sustainability focus, although no formal certifications are cited. Castel Firmian represents the mountain expression of one of Italy’s largest wine producers, rather than an independent small-scale estate.
