Bicocchi is a family-owned winery in Maremma, Tuscany, whose viticultural history began in 1851. Located near Massa Marittima and the sea, its vineyards benefit from Mediterranean conditions, marine breezes and cool nighttime currents, with soils ranging from clay to medium calcareous. The estate makes its wines exclusively from estate-grown grapes, including Vermentino, Fiano, Sangiovese, Alicante, Merlot, Cabernet and Syrah. Carlo Lodovico Bicocchi has guided the estate toward a biodiversity- and environment-conscious approach, progressively eliminating chemical products and emphasizing natural soil regeneration, careful observation and parcel-by-parcel vineyard work. Wines are made gently to preserve varietal character, freshness and longevity. The winery’s underground cellar dates from 1894, and the estate welcomes visitors for guided tours and tastings.
