Novelty Hill

United States

Family-run Novelty Hill is based in Woodinville, Washington, where it shares a modern production facility with the independent Januik label. Owned and operated by winemaker Mike Januik, with his son Andrew Januik and Scott Moeller on the winemaking team, the winery focuses on estate-grown, single-vineyard wines from Stillwater Creek Vineyard on the Royal Slope, alongside fruit from Columbia Valley growers. Planted in 1999–2000 on varied terrain with fractured rock and sandy loam soils, Stillwater Creek supports more than a dozen grape varieties and became the Columbia Valley’s first Salmon Safe-certified vineyard in 2007. The wines combine Old World winemaking with New World innovation, emphasizing the diverse mesoclimates and character of Washington’s Columbia Valley.
