Prieler

Austria

Weingut Prieler is a family-owned estate in Schützen, Burgenland, run by Georg Prieler, who took over from his parents, Engelbert and Irmgard, and continues the quality-focused direction they began in 1972. Silvia Prieler also works in the cellar. The estate farms organically, was officially certified in 2016 after many years of organic practice, and is now converting to Respekt-certified biodynamic methods. Based around vineyards in the Leithagebirge hills near Lake Neusiedl, Prieler focuses especially on Blaufränkisch, with smaller plantings of Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir.
