Freixenet

Spain

Freixenet is a historic sparkling-wine producer based in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia in Penedès, founded from the Sala and Ferrer family wine businesses and now part of the Henkell Freixenet joint venture within the Oetker Group. Best known for Cava, it also produces Prosecco, still wines, aperitifs and alcohol-free wines, with a style built around Mediterranean character, technical expertise and long experience in sparkling winemaking. The company highlights quality, innovation and respect for the territory, and notes environmental measures including renewable electricity, lower emissions and water savings. Its Sant Sadurní d’Anoia winery and cellars are open for visits, tastings and events focused on the art of Cava production, gastronomy and Mediterranean culture.
