Château Simard

France

Château Simard, now Château Haut Simard, is a Bordeaux estate owned and run by the Vauthier family, who also own Château Ausone. The property has been under the family’s stewardship since 2008, with Alain Vauthier and his daughter Pauline overseeing the winemaking. Its farming is described as environmentally mindful, with attention to soil health, reduced pesticide use, water management, climate adaptation, biodiversity, and organic practices, though no certification is confirmed. The estate stands out for its family leadership, connection to a historic Bordeaux name, and a viticultural approach focused on thoughtful, sustainability-minded farming.
