Yeringberg is a historic, family-run Yarra Valley estate established in 1863 and still guided by the fifth-generation de Pury family, who describe themselves as custodians rather than owners. Its vineyards include the Old Vineyard and Front Drive Vineyard, with newer blocks planted since 2020 on climate-responsive south- and east-facing slopes and grafted onto phylloxera-resistant rootstock. Integrated sheep and cattle grazing contributes to the estate’s broader land management, though no formal organic or biodynamic certification is noted. Winemaking is unhurried and traditional, using only estate-grown grapes and bottling wines that meet exacting standards. The National Trust-classified gravity-fed winery and cellars, completed in 1885, remain central to the estate’s identity. Yeringberg’s balanced, structured wines are made for long-term ageing.
