Domaine Fourrier

France

Domaine Fourrier is a family-owned Burgundy estate based in Gevrey-Chambertin, with vineyards across Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey-Saint-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny and Vougeot. The domaine is run by fifth-generation family members Jean-Marie Fourrier, his sister Isabelle, his wife Vicki and his son Louis. Old vines, including plantings dating from the early 20th century, grow on varied limestone- and marl-rich soils. Farming is herbicide-free with minimal spraying, de-budding and strict pruning. In the cellar, Jean-Marie Fourrier follows a low-intervention approach with native yeasts, limited new oak, hand punch-downs, no pump-overs, no fining or filtration, and sulfur only at bottling.
