Vinos Valtuille

Spain

Vinos Valtuille is a small, family-owned winery in Valtuille de Abajo, in Spain’s Bierzo region, managed by siblings Marcos and Elena García Alba. Working old, often centenary vines across more than 100 parcels, the family selects grapes according to each site’s soils, altitude and orientation. Narrow planting and traditional goblet pruning support low yields, while Marcos García Alba leads vineyard control and winemaking, combining traditional methods with modern oenological techniques. The winery focuses on site-specific Mencía and Godello wines, including village and single-parcel bottlings, with manual harvesting, stainless-steel fermentation and ageing in French oak. Its values centre on effort, respect and care for the land.
