Domaine Ghislaine-Barthod

France

Domaine Ghislaine Barthod is a family-run estate in Chambolle-Musigny and nearby villages in Burgundy, founded in the late 1920s and led by Ghislaine Barthod since 1999. She oversees vineyard work and winemaking with the support of her son Clément. Farming is described as organic since 2002 and guided by lutte raisonnée, though the domaine holds no formal organic or biodynamic certification due to parcel contamination risk. The estate shares cellar facilities and some vineyard labor with Domaine Louis Boillot, yet remains fully independent in vinification and finances. Old vines, modest yields, and careful farming underpin a traditional, precise style.
