Auspici Chardonnay

Tenuta Aquilaia is based in Scansano, in Tuscany’s Maremma, where its vineyards lie in the Fosso Sanguinaio valley near the Albegna River. Acquired by Azienda Uggiano in 2019, the estate is associated with Giacomo, Fabio and Daniele, with Daniele Prosperi listed as winemaker. It works exclusively with estate-grown grapes, hand-harvested and carefully selected. Sustainable agronomic practices and ancient knowledge are reinterpreted in a modern way, while the cellar is designed to preserve fruit identity and express the character of the site. The wines draw on native varieties including Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo and Vermentino, alongside Sauvignon Blanc, and reflect the area’s Etruscan viticultural heritage.
