Nord-Sud is a small boutique natural wine project in South Australia’s Adelaide Hills, launched in 2022 and jointly owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Anna Martens and Eric Narioo. Working from rented space at a friend’s winery in Basket Range, they source organically grown grapes from various Adelaide Hills sites rather than farming their own vineyard. Their organic, low-intervention wines are made with spontaneous indigenous-yeast fermentation in clay vessels, used puncheons and small stainless-steel tanks. Wines are bottled without fining or filtration, with no chemicals or additives and only minimal sulphur dioxide added when needed.
