La Bacca is a Sicilian label produced by Adria Vini, a joint venture founded in 2003 by Boutinot and the Araldica Castelvero co-operative. Made from 100% Nerello Mascalese sourced in western Sicily, the wine is vinified mainly in stainless steel, with up to 25% French-oak aging. It is presented as an approachable, less structured style of Sicilian red, with vegan and vegetarian credentials and a practical screw-cap closure. The project is associated with Claudio Manera, Lella Burdese and Tony Brown.
