Producer

Garagisti di Sorgono

Italy

Garagisti di Sorgono is a small-batch artisan producer in central Sardinia, owned and run by Pierto Uras, Simone Murru and Renzo Manca. Its vineyards lie at 480–700 metres on white and pink granite soils, with vines ranging from 15 to over 80 years old. Farming is organic, with no chemical inputs, and the vineyards are tended entirely by hand, occasionally with oxen. The wines are made with a low- to no-intervention approach, including the use of antique wooden presses. The producers’ philosophy centres on preserving local tradition, respecting terroir and keeping mechanisation to a minimum.
