Founded in 1970 and based in Mazara del Vallo, Colomba Bianca is a grower-owned Sicilian cooperative bringing together around 2,400–2,480 member winegrowers. Its vineyards span western Sicily’s coastal, plateau and hill terroirs, with a strong focus on certified organic farming and broader sustainable practices. Precision viticulture, vineyard mapping, research and full traceability from vineyard to bottle support a modern approach while preserving the varietal character of Sicilian grapes. The cooperative works with more than 32 native and international varieties and maintains projects such as Vigne Vecchie, dedicated to historic grapes including Grillo, Lucido and Perricone. Its portfolio ranges from organic and sustainable wines to sparkling wines made by Charmat and traditional methods. Winemaking is led by Mattia Filippi, with Francesco Asaro credited on selected vintages.
