Château d’Arche is a historic Grand Cru Classé 1855 estate in Sauternes, Bordeaux, with origins dating to 1580. Once owned by the Perromat family and now held by an investor group, it is led by Technical Director and winemaker Matthieu Arroyo with Director of Operations Didier Galhaud. The estate is notably committed to sustainability, with HVE Level 3 and ISO 14001 certification, hand harvesting, horse-drawn ploughing, low-yield viticulture, and an eco-designed cellar inaugurated in 2019. Benefiting from Sauternes’ noble-rot terroir, Château d’Arche produces Sauternes alongside dry white Bordeaux, Graves red, and traditional-method sparkling wines, with an emphasis on terroir expression, elegance, and a balance of tradition and innovation.
