Cadgal

Italy

Cadgal is a fourth-generation family-owned winery in Piedmont, between the Langhe and Monferrato, with estates at Tenuta Valdivilla in Santo Stefano Belbo and Tenuta La Cova in Calamandrana. Overseen by proprietor and lead winemaker Alessandro Varagnolo, with Luca Caramellino and Alessandro’s wife leading new projects and hospitality, the estate is focused mainly on Moscato Bianco, alongside Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Farming is SQNPI-certified, with regenerative practices and a transition toward organic cultivation. Valdivilla is dedicated to Moscato d’Asti, while La Cova, a restored 17th-century farmhouse, houses the new winery and guest accommodation. Cadgal also stands out for its Fabè charity project, which supports a medical center in Togo.
