Silvio Grasso is a family-run estate in La Morra, in Piedmont’s Barolo zone, founded in 1927. In the mid-1980s Alessio Federico Grasso took over from his father Silvio and began bottling the entire production; today the winery is run by Federico with his wife Marilena and their sons Silvio and Paolo. The estate farms key La Morra sites including Giachini, Bricco Manzoni, Turnè and Peirass, focusing on Barolo and Langhe wines from Nebbiolo alongside Barbera, Dolcetto and Merlot. Viticulture follows natural, integrated pest-management practices with organic fertilizers, cover crops, and limited sulfur, copper and SO2 use, and the estate is listed as sustainable. Its style is described as terroir-focused, combining tradition with modern techniques and minimal intervention.
