Poliziano

Italy

Poliziano is a family-owned Tuscan estate founded in 1961 by Dino Carletti in Montepulciano and still led by the Carletti family, with Federico Carletti managing the winery and Maria Stella Carletti leading winemaking alongside consultant Carlos Ferrini. The estate is rooted in Sangiovese, locally called Prugnolo Gentile, and aims to unite the historic tradition of the territory with a modern, quality-focused vision. Farming is estate-based and increasingly organic, with certified organic wines, environmentally friendly practices, and the Simonit & Sirch vine-training system. In the cellar, Poliziano emphasizes manual harvesting, indigenous yeasts, gentle extraction, and careful aging to produce elegant, natural, terroir-driven wines, including site-focused bottlings such as Asinone and Le Caggiole.
