Oscar Navas founded La Furtiva in 2017 in Vilalba dels Arcs, Terra Alta, after working at Mallorca’s 4 Kilos. He remains the project’s owner and winemaker, managing production himself. The first vintage was a very small-scale white made in a friend’s cellar. Terra Alta’s sandy, low-water-retention panal soils naturally produce low yields and small bunches, contributing to limited production. Fruit for the Penedès Blanc comes from organically farmed vineyards in the Penedès appellation; no sustainability certifications or other specific farming practices are reported.
