Montecampo

Italy

Montecampo is an Italian producer owned by CI VIZETA S.p.A., with Stefano Ferrante as Chief Winemaker. Ferrante, trained in Agricultural Sciences at the University of Milan under Professor Scienza, brings international experience from Bordeaux, Chile, Argentina, and New Zealand, as well as work in Bolgheri, Vulture, and Chianti Classico. The winery emphasizes organic viticulture, environmentally friendly farming, and full traceability throughout the production cycle. Its style is rooted in traditional Veneto winemaking, particularly Amarone della Valpolicella and Valpolicella Ripasso, with notes highlighting grape selection, appassimento, aging in Slavonian oak, and refermentation to build structure and complexity.
