Founded in 1998, Maison Nicolas Potel is a Burgundy négociant house working across a wide range of appellations and cuvées. It sources fruit exclusively from growers practicing organic or biodynamic viticulture, and its approach emphasizes a biodynamic calendar, natural yeasts and low-intervention winemaking, without formal sustainability certification. The business has been owned by the Cottin brothers of Cottin Frères since 2005; founder Nicolas Potel departed in 2008–09. Winemaking has successively been led by Brigitte Putzu, Fabrice Lesne and, most recently, Sylvain Debord. The style presented is one of carefully sourced Burgundy wines made with minimal intervention.
