Maison Bodet-Hérold is a family-run domaine in Montreuil-Bellay, Saumur, founded in 2017 by Étienne Bodet and Kim Herold, who live on site and handle both vineyard and cellar work. Working mainly with Cabernet Franc, including the Clos Durandière parcel on rare hard Jurassic limestone, they produce Crémant de Loire and still red wines. Farming is organic and biodynamic, using copper and sulfur treatments, biodynamic preparations, and manual weed control, with certification still pending. In the cellar, the approach is natural and low-intervention, with ambient yeasts, minimal sulphur, and low-sulphur vinification.
