Jasper Hill is a family-owned producer in Heathcote, Victoria, founded by Ron and Elva Laughton and now run by their daughter Emily Laughton (McNally) and her husband Nick, with Emily as lead winemaker. Producing handcrafted wines since 1982, the estate farms two dry-grown vineyard sites, Emily’s Paddock and Georgia’s Paddock. Viticulture follows organic and biodynamic principles without synthetic chemicals or irrigation, with hand-pruning, hand-picking, compost, mulching and cover crops used to support soil health. The vineyards are rooted in ancient basalt soils, and the estate’s approach emphasizes careful, low-intervention farming and quality-focused family stewardship.
