Domaine Michel Magnien

France

Domaine Michel Magnien is a family-owned estate based in Morey-Saint-Denis in Burgundy, founded by fourth-generation Michel Magnien and now managed by his son, fifth-generation winemaker Frédéric Magnien. The domaine farms across Grand Cru, Premier Cru and village vineyards in the Côte de Nuits. Certified organic since 2008 and biodynamic since 2015, it follows lunar-guided viticulture with a clear focus on soil vitality and expressing Burgundy terroir. In the cellar, the wines are aged only in used oak barrels, and Frédéric has also introduced ceramic for partial ageing to preserve fruit purity and freshness. The style is rooted in organic, biodynamic farming and gentle élevage rather than marked oak influence.
