Domaine Luneau-Papin

France

Domaine Luneau-Papin is a long-established family estate in the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine area near Nantes, rooted in the union of the Luneau and Papin families and now led by Marie and Pierre-Marie Luneau. The domaine farms a mosaic of parcels on soils including granite, gneiss, schist, mica-schist and serpentinite, with organic certification since 2013 and biodynamic certification from Demeter and Biodyvin since 2019. Vineyard work emphasizes natural preparations, cover crops, careful manual selection and respectful soil care. In the cellar, the approach is artisanal and plot-focused, with whole-cluster pressing, spontaneous fermentations, lees aging, and élevage adapted to the vintage in concrete, wood, amphora, sandstone or porcelain. The wines are presented as precise, pure, saline expressions of Nantais terroir.
