Domaine du Bel Air

France

Domaine du Bel Air is a family-owned organic estate in Benais, Bourgueil, Loire Valley, run by father Pierre Gauthier (fourth generation) and son Rodolphe since 1979. Certified organic since 2000 and HVE3 certified, they practice natural farming with hand-plowing, cover crops, and horse-tilled parcels. The estate focuses exclusively on Cabernet Franc across varied terroirs, vinifying with wild yeast, and aging wines unfined and unfiltered in historic tufa caves, producing complex, age-worthy Bourgueil wines.
