Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste is a long-established Pauillac estate in Bordeaux, classified as a Grand Cru Classé in 1855 and counted among the oldest properties in the Médoc. Family-owned and independent, it has been in the Borie family since 1978 and is led by François-Xavier Borie, with Emeline Borie also involved. The vineyard is planted mainly to Cabernet Sauvignon on deep coarse gravel, with mechanical ploughing, minimal spraying, and hand harvesting followed by rigorous sorting. Winemaking includes extended maceration and ageing in French oak. The wines are described as classic, refined and ageworthy, combining purity, structure and silky tannins while expressing both estate character and vintage.
