Château Eugénie is a family-owned estate in Albas, Cahors, run by the Couture family, whose documented winemaking lineage dates to 1470. Founded as Domaine Eugénie by brothers Jean and Claude Couture in 1974, it is now carried forward by the next generation, including Jérôme Couture. The vineyards lie on terraces of the Lot valley, semi-hillsides and the Causse plateaus, with varied gravel, clay, silica, limestone and iron soils and abundant sunshine. The family emphasizes careful, attentive vineyard work, respect for the vine’s rhythm and terroir, and sustainable, eco-responsible practices. Its portfolio includes AOP Cahors, IGP Côtes du Lot, Vin de France, whites, rosés and sparkling wines, including a bottle-fermented 100% Malbec cuvée.
