Founded in 1892, Casa da Passarella is a historic Dão estate in Portugal’s Beira region, with around 60 hectares of vines, including approximately 40 hectares of historic plantings. Acquired by Ricardo Cabral in 2007, the property underwent a €3 million investment in rebuilding its winery and vineyards. Winemaker Paulo Nunes, appointed in 2006 and working full-time since 2009, leads the program. The estate produces predominantly red wines, often from field blends incorporating around 25 grape varieties. No specific sustainability certifications or initiatives are reported.
