Prosecco Organic Valdobbiadene Brut DOCG

Founded by the Caramel family in 1979, Canevel Spumanti is a Valdobbiadene producer focused mainly on Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG. Its Glera vineyards surround the winery, complemented by grapes from 50 additional growers. Since Masi Agricola acquired a 60% stake in 2016, the partnership has retained Carlo Caramel as chief executive and family representative. Canevel is certified organic and no longer uses herbicides, while working to eliminate synthetic pesticides through sustainable viticulture and natural preparations. The winery also experiments with hand-harvesting, lower-sulphur wines and potentially sulphite-free cuvées, with production development involving Masi technical director and winemaker Andrea Dal Cin.
