Borgo Turrito is a family-owned estate in Borgo Incoronata, near Foggia in Puglia, led by winemaker Luca Scapola. Founded in 2006 when Luca took over the family vineyards, it continues a Scapola tradition of cultivating vines dating to 1890. The estate focuses on Nero di Troia, the native grape of northern Puglia, alongside Falanghina and smaller plantings of Moscato and Aleatico, producing red, white, rosé, sparkling and sweet wines. Its clay soils help retain water during dry periods. Viticulture emphasizes sustainability, with no herbicides, cover crops, reduced chemical fertilizers, pheromone traps, precision monitoring and biodiversity protection. The winery is also Equalitas certified and is recognized particularly for its rosé wines.
