Allegrini is a family-owned producer rooted in Fumane and Valpolicella Classica, where the family has been involved in vine growing since the 16th century. Across generations, figures such as Giovanni and Franco Allegrini helped shape the modern identity of Valpolicella through rigorous grape selection and innovations in appassimento, vineyard work, and the use of Corvina, including the iconic La Poja cru. Today the family remains actively involved in the business. The estate emphasizes sustainable viticulture, biodiversity, and broader environmental stewardship, supported by projects such as Allegreen and a photovoltaic system. Its wines are closely tied to hillside Valpolicella vineyards with calcareous-clay soils and southeast exposures, and the house is especially known for Amarone, Recioto, and other wines that balance tradition, fruit integrity, power, and elegance.
