Producer

Weingut Müller

Austria

Family-owned since 1936, Weingut Müller is based in Krustetten at the foot of the Göttweiger Berg in southern Kremstal, with a winemaking tradition dating to 1270. The third and fourth generations work together across vineyards extending from Hollenburg and the Göttweiger Berg into the Wachau, including the Tassilo line from sites around Mautern. Certified Sustainable Austria, the estate uses compost, cover crops, its own spring water, photovoltaic power and wood-chip heating. Its hillside cellar uses natural earth cooling and gravity for gentle processing. Wines are made in small stainless-steel tanks and large oak barrels, with attention to individual sites and batches. The style emphasizes clear fruit, finesse, balance and drinking pleasure, including characterful Grüner Veltliner and mineral Riesling from diverse loess, conglomerate, limestone and primary-rock soils.
