Raúl Pérez Bodegas y Viñedos is the independent, founder-owned winery of winemaker and viticulturist Raúl Pérez, established in 2005 in Valtuille de Abajo in Bierzo, Castilla y León. Rooted in a long family vineyard tradition, the project focuses on old vines, native varieties such as Mencía and Godello, and wines that express individual sites around Bierzo, especially Valtuille de Abajo. Farming is certified organic, and the cellar approach is deliberately low-intervention: sulfur is avoided until bottling, there is no racking or bâtonnage, and wines are aged in used oak. Pérez is known for a traditional, nature-respecting philosophy that seeks minimal influence on the vineyard and cellar, with wines designed to be approachable young yet capable of ageing.
