Poggio della Dogana is a family-owned estate in Romagna, founded by brothers Aldo and Paolo Rametta, with vineyards in Castrocaro Terme–Terra del Sole and Brisighella. Its organically farmed vineyards are certified by Suolo e Salute and focus exclusively on native varieties, including Sangiovese, Albana, and Trebbiano. The contrasting soils and Adriatic influences of the two sites shape wines with a strong sense of place. Grapes are handled separately by vineyard and variety, fermented with indigenous yeasts, and generally matured in concrete to preserve their natural expression. The estate combines respect for Romagna’s traditions with a contemporary approach, producing distinctive Sangiovese and Albana alongside Trebbiano and other regional interpretations. Biodiversity is encouraged through beehives and olive trees among the vines.
