Nativ is a small, terroir-focused winery founded in 2008 in Irpinia, Campania, centered on Paternopoli and Taurasi. It is owned by oenologist Dr. Mario Ercolino and food-science specialist Dr. Roberta Pirone, with Ercolino leading the winemaking. The estate works mainly with native Campanian grapes including Fiano, Greco, Falanghina and Aglianico, grown on volcanic and mineral-rich soils that shape the wines’ regional character. Nativ’s range is rooted in local DOC and DOCG traditions, with particular attention to Taurasi and the white wines of Irpinia. The winery also highlights old vines in phylloxera-free zones. Nativ reports Equalitas certification and publishes an annual sustainability report, alongside monitoring water and energy use, managing waste and carbon footprint, and maintaining a strong ethical code for labor and business practices.
