Family-owned and operated by Rado Kocjancic, this estate in Breg, near the Gulf of Trieste, has been in the family for over 400 years. Its vineyards lie between the Karst, Istria and Adriatic, on sandstone-marl soils shaped by the Bora wind, with many parcels recovered from abandoned land. Farming follows organic and biodynamic principles without synthetic products, while harvests are manual and cellar work is minimal or low-intervention. The estate strongly favors native varieties including Vitovska, Malvasia Istriana, Moscato Giallo and Refosco, producing wines intended to express their distinctive territory with craftsmanship and naturalness. Rado has been the winemaker since 1999, following winemaking studies in California. The family also tends olive groves and produces traditional oils alongside its wines.
