Gritsch Mauritiushof

Austria

Gritsch Mauritiushof is a family-owned estate in Spitz, Niederösterreich, operated by seventh-generation winemaker Franz-Josef Gritsch. The winery focuses on high-quality Wachau wines, particularly Riesling and Grüner Veltliner from single-vineyard Grand Cru sites, expressing their distinctive soils and microclimates. Its range includes the contemporary Kalmuck line and the exclusive Red Mauritius set. The estate emphasises a harmonious relationship between people and nature and respect for the environment, although no organic or biodynamic certification is listed. Its long family history, terroir-focused approach and limited-quantity wines distinguish it as a boutique producer.
