Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC

Gran Sasso is an Abruzzo producer named for the region’s Gran Sasso mountain range, with vineyards established in 1998 near the peak. Its wines aim to express Abruzzo’s diverse microclimates and varied soils, combining traditional Italian winemaking with modern techniques. Grapes are NOP organic certified and the wines are marketed as 100% organic and vegan-friendly. Vines are spur-pruned on medium-mixed and clay soils. Led by Valentino Sciotti, with Francesco De Santis and Rino Santeusanio also associated with the project, Gran Sasso reflects a sustainable approach rooted in the landscapes of central Abruzzo.
