Dune is a small-scale producer in Provence’s Camargue, making Dune Gris de Gris rosé from two parcels, L’Abbé and Les Sablons. The vines grow in poor, free-draining sandy dune soils that are naturally resistant to phylloxera, within the wetland-rich Sable de Camargue environment. Dune adopts High Environmental Value and Organic Viticulture practices, with minimal chemical intervention. Winemaking is deliberately freshness-focused: grapes are machine-harvested, immediately refrigerated, lightly pressed, and subjected to cold settling and multiple rackings before a slow, cool two- to three-week fermentation. The resulting rosé is intended to express the freshness and sea-breeze character of its coastal setting, and is vegetarian and vegan.
