Family-run in Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits, Domaine Laurent Roumier was founded in 1991 by Laurent Roumier, grandson of Georges Roumier, continuing the family’s long domaine tradition. Laurent remains proprietor and winemaker, with his son involved in daily work and the cellar. The vineyards are farmed naturally under organic-style principles, with no herbicides or fertilizers, hand-harvesting and occasional green harvests; the wines are also noted as vegan-friendly, though the estate has no formal certification. In the cellar, the approach emphasizes natural yeast fermentations and modest oak ageing, reflecting a traditional, hands-on style.
