Domaine Desaunay-Bissey is a family-run estate in Flagey-Echezeaux, Burgundy, with owned and fermage parcels that include old vines in Echezeaux and Grands Echezeaux, some planted from 1928 onward. The domaine has worked without herbicides or pesticides since 2007, with soils tilled and some work done by hand. In the cellar, the approach is traditional and restrained: indigenous yeasts, no fining or filtration, limited extraction, and modest use of new oak. After Bruno Desaunay-Bissey’s death in 2023, his son Richard took over as owner and head winemaker, assisted by Aline, while the estate remains firmly in family hands.
