Domaine des Braves is a family-run estate in Régnié, at the heart of Beaujolais, owned and managed by Victor and Eugénie Gentien. Working mainly with Gamay, they produce parcel-focused wines from Régnié, Morgon and Chiroubles, as well as Beaujolais Blanc. The vines, largely gobelet-trained and planted on granitic soils, average around 40 years old, with some parcels reaching 80 years. Viticulture emphasizes living soils, healthy plant material, preventive management and shallow tillage with light machinery to limit compaction; no organic or biodynamic certification is stated. Manual harvesting and traditional methods, including whole-cluster fermentation, are combined with modern choices, with parcels vinified according to their character and the vintage. Concrete and stainless-steel tanks, along with demi-muids, are used for élevage.
