Domaine Alain Chavy

France

Domaine Alain Chavy is a family-owned estate in Puligny-Montrachet, founded in 2003 when Alain Chavy and his brother Jean-Louis divided their father Gérard’s holdings. The domaine farms vineyards mainly in Puligny-Montrachet, with additional parcels in Chassagne-Montrachet and Meursault. Alain is the owner and principal winemaker, overseeing fermentation, restrained oak use and cellar work, with his son Corentin involved in daily operations. Viticulture follows a lutte raisonnée approach, using almost no chemicals beyond mildew protection, alongside hand harvesting and plowing for weed control. The wines are made with minimal oak in a deep underground cellar, reflecting a hands-on, family-run approach to Burgundy winemaking.
